Elections be gone!

So Iraq can go back to a dictatorship now. I'm JOKING. But seriously, these things involve quite a bit of work, and we get to do it all over again in two months. Oh boy. I think we're all still coming up for air, and since there were no major attacks, we think that they're still looming on the horizon. There could well be a big one in the next couple of days even! So we'll be careful and stay as safe as possible.

Sgt. Evenson renlisted today. Congratulations, I guess. We all joked with him that he was "taking one for the team". The pictures have been posted, hope you like them.

Lindsey's birthday is nearly here, and I won't be there. Which sucks. So I'll eat ice cream for every meal this Thursday in her honor. Aside from that, not much is going on.

Later, Trey

Sounds like the price of building a nation and initiating a democracy may be higher than anyone realized. My question is, How do you know who the 'enemy' is? I mean it isn't like they are wearing a red uniform or waving a yellow banner. So how do you know which of these people are insurgents and which are just civilians??

Whew. Saw the pictures on the other site.... and was very relieved. There is something about hearing and seeing nothing from you son in the Army, that jangles the nerves! I have soooo many questions. Like why do THEY have more and better weapons than WE do? etc. etc. etc.
I guess I'll find out in a year or so when you get home. Thank you so much for posting the photos, it means the world to me!
I love you...pray for you...wait to see you... MOM

Hey, Trey!! How are you doing? Congratulations on your wedding, but wow- I can't believe you're over there now. We missed you at Steph's wedding. I hope that things are - relatively - well with you. You are in my prayers. Be safe, Trey!! No boy-ish display of heroics that'll end up in inevitable harm, please! We want you back in one piece. Lots of love, Ashley (McNamee, incase that wasn't clear:)

Trey,
We have had the pleasure of meeting, but you were about 5yrs. old! Your parents are dear friends, and Steph & Chris are friends with our boys. We feel cheated that we haven't been able to get to know you up until you posted this blog site. We log on often to see how you are doing and we just wanted you to know you are in our thoughts and we pray for you and Lindsey. Thanks for sharing all you do, not only on the blog sight, but your life as well.
Paul & Angie Trementozzi (Spain)
